"what would you suggest if you have to constantlly see your ex at work and other places and you see her with another guy? This keeps me from getting over her b.c I can't spend time away from her."

Repeat to yourself "She is free!", "I know I can't stop her!" which is the truth, right? - It gets 100 times easier for you if you have a new girl in your life as well. Once she is no longer your only dating option this by itself gives you a lot of your indepence back. Yes! I know it is tough to party when your midn is still partly focused on your ex. In the beginning you need to force yourself to go out and socialize - It gets much easier once you start taking small steps

PS: One more thing - If you see her be diplomatic and respectful at all times - make sure you don't engage into "us", "relationship" or "feeling" talk with her. The less you open up to her right now th e freer you'll feel

"I broke up with my girlfriend three weeks ago and were in a year and a half relationship. She told me three weeks ago that we were on a ""break"" and that its the best for us atm. She then told everyone that we had broken up...but she never told me or gave me any ""closure"" so to speak. Why cant she talk to me about it?? We have met up for coffees since then but she doesnt want to talk about it.I really think i deserve closure. What shall I do?? Thanks."

Look, you might not be aware of that but what you describe is prety typical for a woman behavior after she breaks up with you: She says something and then does the exact opposite.

(And believe me I have seen an coached dozens of guys and break ups situations!)

Why? Many reasons:

- Not lose you totally just in case
- She might not want to hurt you by being too blunt
- It's part of her battle strategy to reclaim her full freedom
- Etc

Yes! you can definitely get your power back in no time but you DO need a battle plan!

"My girlfriend broke up with me after 3 1/2 years on the phone.She felt she needed someone to take care of her and someone who has equal salary of what she makes. I think it also had to with a lack of communication and trust.

hey, sorry to hear that. i know it is tough but when you are young, this will happen again many times.

Don't think long term. You might believe things like "she was the one" or "we were so good for eachother" but life is not playing a trick on you. At this stage in your lfie, girls will come and go. You have to get used to it by simply accepting it rather than trying to stop it and hold to the past

Sorry to hear that.

When you say you won't give up, you mean you won't let her go, right? You see, that's precisely the trouble and the reason why you get hurt. Trying to hold onto something which is not yours. Her life is hers. She is free to do what she wants with it. 

PS: The moment you claim her, you betray one of her basic human rights. That's how it works. You need to set her free! This will give you back your life!

When a girl says that you are too good for her, what she is in fact saying is "I have another agenda and you don't match that agenda"

In my experience, this "You are too good for me" is an excuse not to look at what's really going on...

Because there are other forces at play which were pushing her away from you.

These "rejection" forces happen to be stronger than the "attraction" forces.

Look at it like a combination of forces.

If you didn't find the answer yet, there is obsviously some resistance or rejection force you still did overlook or not identify.

Again, the answer is probably in one of the possibilities I mentioned earlier:

• Material needs
• Social status
• Cultural background
• Family approval
• Too much intensity
• Personal background
• Career line as well sometimes don't match what she has in mind
• Etc.

All these potential sources of objection can play a significant role when she decides to break up with you.

• Cultural background

This can be a major cause for break ups. She might not mention it but act on it. In her world, having someone from the same cultural background might allow her to relax and feel comforted within her existing mind sets. The same type of limitation can apply if you are from different countries.

• Family approval

A mother or father who does not approve of the relationship can be a deal breaker. Family pressure can feel very intense for a girl. Sometimes she will let go of the relationship simply to find some peace of mind.

• Friends approval

Same story as family approval. Key friends can have lots of influence on her choices.

• Wealth and social status

Yes! Some women marry for money. If your material base, job or income is not strong enough in her eyes, this can be another deal breaker. Yes! Women will frequently break up over such issue. They might not admit it, because they can feel ashamed of it, but they will give you hints by complaining about your material situation or questioning your life choices.

In others, they will be amongst the key factors strengthening or destroying your partnership depending on how high you score with them.
