Mind models and their limits - Article

No matter what mind model you consider it is always an approximation of the truth or reality.

I mean, a model is a mental concept.

It is a description of a reality which is much more complex than what the model can ever describe.

Suppose you paint a landscape.

This painting might be perfect in itself. It is still not the same as the real landscape!

You forget about smells, touch, wind and the live experience of interacting with that specific landscape.

The painting is an approximation of that reality.

On top of that, every artist will interpret that reality through the filter of their own mind, senses, experience, talent, etc.

Every picture will be perfect in itself even though all these pictures might be very different from each other.

You can look at mind models exactly in a similar way: every scientist, therapist, spiritual seeker or coach can have their own model.

Every model has a degree of perfection in it.

The real questions are:

Does it help you?

Does it help you understand who you are?

Or does it confuse you?

Can you use it?

Do you need it in the first place?

Many models might simply confuse you and make you loose track with the original perception and feeling of who you are.

Let psychologists fight with each other with theories if they want to.

Believing that there is only one unique model is a big mistake anyway.

Conceptual thinking is sometimes a dead end labyrinth in which you can get lost.

The mental understanding of the mind is only one fraction of how to approach your inner reality.

Another approach is life mastery: taming emotions and thoughts, consciously working with energies and your own sources of power!

In other terms action and practice!

Action is what I focus on in vitalcoaching.com!

I decided to post some videos in this blog because they are simply interesting to watch and offer some conceptual models of value.

However, I do believe that experience and inner action is what leads you to inner mastery. Any model is only a vague road map.

The true journey is the mastery trip you take in yourself.

This is practical and experimental!

To your power!
