Yes! You can still meditate!
Here are some ideas: Use short meditations (a few minutes) in which you learn to concentrate even within this noisy environment. This is a powerful mind training method with which you will progress very fast! Focus on an active inner meditation technique. You can as well train in dynamic meditation techniques where you stand up and practice active breathing, movements, stretches, martial art or hatha yoga oriented techniques. Not all meditation needs to lead to inner peace. Sometimes, you better head for greater power and ability to focus in any situation. Before falling asleep in the evening, practice more peace oriented meditations when there is silence in the house. Use the same peace techniques when you are awake at night or early morning before getting up. You can practice these ones still while laying down. http://vitalcoaching.com/spiritualpower.htm To your spiritual power! vitalcoach Labels: articles, meditation, techniques Where can you reconnect with an infinite source of energy, love and power? - ARTICLE
Nature!
The average person in the west spends a stunning 90% of their time indoor or in a car. What is left is street walk and some time in nature every now and then! Does this mean that you need to change jobs and become a gardener? No need to! Simply make conscious choices and go back to nature as much as you can! It is a choice! Now, why does the average person choose for being indoors or in town when they have access to nature? Even those who live next to nature often prefer shopping rather than some outdoor activity! Why is that? Because of the "power dimension". The "nature channels" are relatively weak in the average person. The goal is to reactivate these channels and make sure that being in nature gives you a kick! Now, there is a way to do that! If you are not the type of person who would usually spend time in nature, or feel comfortable with it, it's a skill you need to rediscover! Why? Because what nature has to offer is unique! It is an infinite reserve of energy, harmony and peace. It rebablances your being, regenerates your emotional body and reatunes your energy lines! It happens naturally the moment you step into a forest! A busy city does not give you that! If you haven't been going back to nature for a while, it is a skill you need to rediscover. Now, what does this have to do with spiritual power! Well... Nature is your final temple!!! This is where it all started and it is your final home! The walls of your house or the limits of the city are artificial human built boundaries which stop the free flow of energy between you and nature. The reason why people often feel emotionally challenged and struggle to rebuild their inner power is partly because the instinctual channels of harmony have been cut for such a long time. Nature still contains the perfect plan if you take the time to reconnect with it. As soon as you step in nature, you start exchanging harmony with it instantly. Trees reflect their etheric perfection on your etheric body and activate the flow of energy through your meridians. It is perfect healing and harmonizing power. Now, realize that almost no technique is needed for that! Simply being there! Saying "there is no nature where I live" is just an excuse! Living where you live is a choice! People go to big cities because they like the buzz, the activity, the money! You can enjoy all that without having to give up your connection with nature. It is a choice! You choose your holiday or week end destinations. Take responsibility for that and don't blame circumstances. Yes! It is harder to stay in touch with nature nowadays. However, there are always places where you can start even when you live in big cities! You can for instance:
Now, simply applying some of the few strategies I just gave you, can significantly increase your exposure to nature! Take small steps and start right here with what is in front of you. This will already bring change! Even in areas where people have access to nature, you still see these vast nature areas totally empty!Nobody there! While shopping streets are buzzing with activity and excitement. Now, this can shift! It can shift for you and shift as well on a larger scale. Start with you, though! Don't try to change others at this stage! If you feel there is not enough presence of nature in your life, change yourself! Make the right choices! Activate your nature link and relearn the skills to empower your being when in nature! More on how to do just that in another post, ok? http://vitalcoaching.com/spiritualpower.htm To your spiritual power! vitalcoach Labels: articles, connect with nature, techniques Do you need a tradition to succeed with your spiritual quest? - ARTICLE
It totally depends on your own level of development.
You might feel for instance that you are strong enough without using an existing tradition. You will connect to a source of inspiration and rebuild for yourself your own spiritual expression. There is always a source of inspiration. You will always develop some form of technique around that source of inspiration. You might connect with what you feel via a daily walk in nature, by experimenting with your diet, by isolating yourself for days or anything else. Action! Even staying in silence or listening to a specific music is an approach in itself. Even a total "non technique" or free approach becomes a system as soon as you start manifesting it. Now a system or tradition can free you or it can alienate you. The goal is to free your mind, not to limit it. If you feel that a tradition limits you, then free yourself from it. This is where you need to be extremely smart with your own spiritual development: Is this tradition system or technique a step forward or a step backwards in your own spiritual development? Does it limit your mind or does it free it? This is the key question to ask yourself first! Now, how can a system or tradition help you wake up your spiritual power? Remember that we said earlier that forces are competing in your mind. When you are trapped in material oriented attitudes, dealing with practicalities, money, family, health, etc, you are simply dealing with a certain set of energy realities. You might be subject to the pressures of your boss or love partner. You are bombarded by dozens of marketing messages which force you to consume goods you don't need. In other terms, you are actively interacting with all these energy realities. Now, do any of these energy realities actively remind you that you are a universal being and that there is more to life than what you see? Do any of these realities wake up an infinite sense of joy and bliss? Do any of these realities teach you about your inner spiritual anatomy? Clearly no, right? You can go for days traveling the pathways of your daily reality without being confronted with a single message which connects you with something "spiritual". If you want to connect with your life's spiritual dimension, you are left with two options:
or
A spiritual tradition is a pathway which has been explored before. As soon as you connect with it, you receive help, knowledge, techniques and support. The trick is that when you join an existing system or tradition, you accept a certain existing set of rules, behaviors and authority of the masters and teachers along that line. This is exactly where you can feel turned off, because you feel it actually takes away freedom from you. You might feel disempowered through that process. Why? Because you start relying at least a bit on an external authority. Something else that might be a turn off is that these systems or traditions have their own agenda. Basically, you fit into their plan! If this plan fits into your plan as well, then there is perfect synergy and everyone wins. Now, sometimes, you might feel that an existing tradition does not really care about your own personal agenda. In fact all your new mind sets might precisely be about giving up your own personal agenda and replacing it by a new plan. As you can see, the power dynamics involved in your spiritual quest are very subtle and there are many forces and powers at play. Very often you tend to believe that it's all about love and unity when in fact the power dynamics I just described are the invisible architecture which is directing thoughts and emotions in these contexts. Does it mean that traditions and system are bad? Not at all! You simply need to interact with them with great awareness and understand exactly how this system can help you, how you can help it and what the exact boundaries of this interaction are. It is a vast topic and I will come back to it soon! http://vitalcoaching.com/spiritualpower.htm Take care vitalcoach Labels: articles, traditions How to reclaim your spiritual power
It is very simple!
It has to do with choices and connecting with forces which are strong enough to empower you on that level. Forces are competing in your mind. You have practicalities, career, desires, love life, family, material needs, spiritual aspirations, etc. All these areas or fields are competing for energy and attention. You want to feed them all of course. Very often though, if a need is not in your top priorities, it gets relegated to distant areas in your mind. You tend to forget about it. To reclaim your spiritual power, you need to consciously shift priorities. You need to put spiritual values and needs at the top, before anything else. It does not mean that you drop jobs or let go of your love life. It means that you give more energy to your spiritual development. This is the key shift you can make. The next step is to connect with a system or source of inspiration which can help you break through your limitations. If you are already experienced with spiritual development techniques like meditation, you might have enough momentum to wake up more spiritual power by yourself. Now, if you feel isolated when you try that, gathering support and strengthening your links with one or more spiritual development systems is essential. A system can be any source of spiritual development inspiration. Sometimes, this system is manifested in the form of an organization or a written teaching. Other times, it is more subtle and comes to you in the form of vague feelings and ideas you can follow and learn from. Even when there is no manifested system and you pick up vague feelings and ideas you can hardly define, you are still connecting with a stream of inspiration. It is still a certain line of development with some energy architecture and ideas associated with it. You see that if you try to formulate your ideas along that line of inspiration, you will write down concepts which are quite specific. What you write is the result of the interaction between the filter of your mind and that source of inspiration. This source of inspiration is an entity, spirit or intelligence. It is a body of energy! A religion is such a source. Any tradition represents such a source. Now, you have traditions or sources of inspiration which are fully manifested while other sources never totally made it into a final coherent form. You might pick up on some ideas without realizing that you are tuning into a reality which is much vaster than yourself. Some traditions have already been manifested in the past. They are still evolving to a certain extent but the body of knowledge, techniques and experiences is already quite complete. For instance, if you join a school of Tibetan Buddhism or Jewish Mysticism there is no need on your side to reinvent what already exists. The knowledge, sacred scriptures and techniques are already there. After years of practice and exploration, you might come up with new techniques or concepts which actualize that ancient tradition. Now, sometimes a stream is not from the past but from the future. There is little to no reference about it and what you create in terms of ideas and techniques is new. Of course, you can say that other traditions expressed similar techniques before but the vehicle is fresh and new. You will give it a name and maybe create a new tradition. The next questions are: What does a tradition do to you? Do you need it in the first place? Can you do without it?
