Why blind materialism is a side track - LIFE STRATEGIES

It is very simple!

When you engage into wanting more and more material wealth, properties, bigger house and more luxury, you engage into a battle you cannot win.

There is always more and it is never enough.

It is like a carrot in front of your nose and you try to reach it without being able to eat it.

So, materialism is a set up.

The emotions associated with it give you short term satisfaction but leave a huge gap on a deeper level.

You try to fill this deeper need with physical objects.

No matter how much you own, it is never enough!

Why?

Because the real quality you want to feel is a state of union.

You want to feel loved!

And not just from one source!

You want to feel connected!

Gaining material wealth is your way of looking for recognition.

It is one way of feeding your ego and personality.

Now, what happens after a few years of that type of quest?

You end up lost!

Why?

Because you realize that no matter how much you gain, it is never enough.

Even temporary successes on that level can leave a huge gap when the thrill of that success is gone.

Conclusion?

Focus from the start on what matters most: the way you walk life!

Yes! The state of mind you are in matters most than any goal you can reach!

While you head for targets with determination, you forget that all that time you generate emotions and thoughts.

All these emotions and thought generate a response and echo around you.

It is that state of mind or state of being you want to focus on now.

If you are in pain and despair because your material targets are not being reached then you totally miss the point, right?

It is like a kid being in a permanent state of tantrum!

You don't want to live life that way.

You want to function from a place of peace and balance.

Now, that state of peace does not mean that nothing is happening!

On the contrary!

Everything is happening!

Your energy level is much higher actually!

Life is already perfect! - LIFE STRATEGIES

The only thing that could stop you from seeing that is the fact that you have targets or distant future goals.

When you do, this stops you from being in the instant and enjoying the very present moment.

Sure, goals are useful but a skill which is even more useful than that is realizing the perfection of the instant.

Now, most people will realize this perfection in a second and than set up again in the course of achieving distant goals.

This is where you can miss the point because you don't need to shift that.

You don't need to be like a horse always running forward.

This is like a survival instinct or conquering force you can tame.

You don't need to be the slave of that force.

You can relax, step back and take life for what it is:

Impermanence!

After every single goal you achieve there is always a target after that.

Yes!

Pursuing new targets is exciting and creates a stream of powerful manifestation force in your being, but the moment you get enslaved by that instinct, that's when you miss the point and the real target for your life.

You need to look at life from the perspective that everything that could be achieved and done has already been done.

From that point of view, existence takes a very different colour.

It gives you the power to relax, stand still, be at peace and enjoy every single second for what it is.

Remember that within 100 years, most of what you tried to create in your life will be gone!

All that will remain is the memory of a certain experience in your own spirit which is eternal.

This is where you find this dimension of permanency and eternity.

If you stay focused on that level, you look at life like a game.

Yes!

It is a game!

This resets existence from a perspective which makes it totally real.

The usual goals are shifted and become something insignificant in the eyes of this larger scale.

The emotions and quest you go through when you engage into life from the level of physical creation are all alienating for you.

You end up trapped in a scenario where you can not win.

So, what is the answer?

What does freedom mean?

It means to shift perspective and put back what matters most in the center of your existence.

Yes!

It is that simple.

The quests and conquests are all games you play if you want to, because it is fun and gives you an energy kick, but look at it from another perspective and observe what happens when you take some distance.

The total urgency, stress and life pressure are all gone.

What remains is peace and silence.

It is in that dimension of silence that a whole new reality takes place.

What is yoga nidra? - ARTICLE

Yoga Nidra could be called the art of sleeping, the art of dreaming or the art of profound relaxation.

In the yogic tradition Nidra is as well referred simply as a state of alert awareness. In that case, Yoga Nidra is simply an inner state of inner peace where the mind and the body are regenerated and vitalized.

Nidra literally means “sleep” in Sanskrit. A wider definition could translate this word as “rest” or “activeless” and can be associated with the idea of mind stillness.

You spend 8 hours a day sleeping.

The goal with yoga nidra is to influence what happens in your dream state.

Nothing mysterious or supernatural.

You can condition your mind to have a greater sense of awareness and action over your dreams and sleeping state.

When you dream you are active within the astral world.

So, what is the connection with yoga nidra?

With yoga nidra, you try to influence what happens in the astral aspect of your mind. You try to influence your dream state.

You simply try to have some form of impact over the way you relate to your emotions and dreams.

There are whole schools in Tibetan buddhism dedicated to the exploration and mastery of your dream state.

How can you apply these techniques in your modern life?

Well, unless you are ready to dedicate your whole life to it, you probably will only touch the surface of it.

However, it is an impact which can be extremely beneficial when trying to harmonize your emotions and for instance find a greater sense of inner peace.

What is yoga? - ARTICLE

Yoga is the state of Self Realization. Yoga means this internal union where the limits of the personality and individual mind are broken up. This opening is an invasion of bliss and inner happiness. It is the awareness of the universal life force.

Yoga does not seem to happen by itself. Why not?

The natural human instincts polarize human life towards individuality. This sense of individuality is what creates a division between our being and a larger field of life force.

This sense of individuality supports our survival instinct. Our minds are programmed to perceive life through our own individual eyes. It is this perception which guarantees our survival as individuals.

It is because we identify ourselves with a personality and a physical body that we do everything we can to sustain, support our individual life. Most of human activities, instinctual reactions, mind processes and emotions are linked with the way we relate to our surroundings and to people around us.

This sense of individuality is one of the sustaining pillars of society. Without it, we probably would not care much about building a solid house or making a living. Once we touch on the infinite human potential, the unified mind which sustains all of humankind, the usual human priorities are simply dropped.

One world, different plans

Different aspects of human life evolve towards different goals. While we reach to space exploration, we are still dealing with basics of human nature like survival drive, competition, emotions, etc. We stretch our human minds between various realities, various purposes.

The way our mind is programmed to survive in the wild is very different than the way we are programmed when we find ourselves walking on the moon.

The spiritual orientation of a yogi will create a mind dynamism with certain rules, laws, reflexes, priorities, etc.

While we aim for a certain goal, we are still dealing with resistances. This resistances are related with conflicting interests. When yogis decide to retire to the high Himalayan mountains, they might leave behind a life which still wants them or needs them: a family life, a normal profession, etc. Wiping out all these years of "social programming" can eventually happen but as long as the threads of the past are still active, the mind of the yogi might still struggle for the ultimate self realization and spiritual "reprogramming".

There are many human pathways, evolution lines. The yogic approach is just one amongst many ways of being alive.

What is the best?

What society needs is simple: various individuals focused on various goals. While a yogi might be dealing with certain aspects of human development, a share holder in an office is busy with another aspect of creation.

This combination of goals and approaches is what keeps society alive. Without this diversity of goals, desires and priorities, society would just collapse.

Overcoming gravity...

Focusing on spiritual practices feels sometimes like trying to overcome gravity. There is this pull, this natural equilibrium of our minds, the place where we go back when we simply let it all go. When we try to build up some form of expanded awareness, we are actually overcoming the resistances from our environment and surroundings. These have a natural vibration and by building up spiritual awareness we are shifting the very balance or equilibrium which was already established.

This "setting in motion" process stirs our human nature and shifts the energy base on which we function.

What are the consequences?

Anything which can stabilize your spiritual development should be used. This is why ideas and concepts are usually needed along the spiritual path. Ideas give a mind frame to function with.

Techniques, approaches, a support network are useful as well. Empowering your spiritual quest is a priority. Any tools which stabilize the path are welcome. Why? Because it is only when we use all our possible resources that we have a chance to succeed in what we are tying to reach.

Spiritual challenges - ARTICLE

Here are a few examples of spiritual distortions which can appear in the spiritual field. Going to extremes is often counter productive and can even be dangerous for the individual's well being. If you notice that you are overdoing it, the best solution is to simply relax and enjoy more than you would naturally do.

Little doses of escapism for instance can be quite harmless. It's only when established in the form of an inner doctrine that these qualities become truly an hindrance to your evolution.

Escapism

Wanting to run away from creation and its natural cycles. Wanting to suppress the ego, the mind, the emotions or other natural aspects of the personality.

Fanaticism

Taking any doctrine, spiritual practice, or spiritual rule to an extreme. Fanaticism can be seen on the level of an organization or on the level of an individual. It can be expressed for instance through extreme discipline or intolerance.

Ambition tension

Tensing, contraction of the emotions related with a goal difficult to achieve. Inner tensions related with ambitions are usually counter productive for spiritual development. Performance stress or performance anxiety are two other ways of expressing a similar idea.

Spiritual training - ARTICLE

Spiritual training focuses on training and developing new life skills geared towards spiritual development. It includes techniques inspired from Yoga, Martial arts, Tantra etc.

No need to adhere to any belief system. Keywords are freedom, respect and openness. The basic principles and values of coaching stay the same. You still decide where you want to go and how you want to get there. Your needs and targets remain the number one focus of spiritual coaching. The only difference is that the focus is slightly more oriented on transmitting you new tools and truly training new skills.

Spiritual training

Here are some possible key benefits or targets of spiritual training:

I can imagine that some of these concepts and ideas can sound quite mysterious at this stage. Most of these will get clearer very fast.

Sometimes you deeply feel that something is missing in your existence. Something essential that you can't define. If diplomas, a happy family or a successful profession still don't give you the answers you are looking for and you somehow still feel a gap, spiritual training is here to help you with that.

Spiritual training

Are you afraid of loosing control?

That's one of the key advances with spiritual coaching and my own approach. My goal as your coach is to empower you and give you all the tools. There is no transfer of power from you to me. The key of this coaching is your agenda. It is your life. It is 100% focused on your needs.

You might not realize this, but it is a key shift in the spiritual development field. The traditional transmission of knowledge in the spiritual field has always been within a relationship of guru to disciple or master to student.

With spiritual coaching and this approach, you stay master of your existence at all times. We shifted the idea of master/student and translated it into a new format which in my opinion might fit better with your needs. In the coaching space you are the master of your life and my role as your coach is to help you strengthen your own skills.

My goal is not to challenge the existing schools of thoughts and beliefs. I have an immense respects for all spiritual masters from the past, present and future. My goal is rather to make spiritual training "user's friendly" and more accessible to those who might need it.

I believe that the "coaching vehicle" I offer to you is direct, efficient and 100% targeted to your needs.

What techniques do I use?

Over the last 20 years I tried literally hundreds of techniques and approaches. Yoga, martial arts, artistic expression, mantric invocation in various sacred languages, etc. The list is very, very long.

I still practice daily many of these techniques. For instance I do a dynamic breathing technique usually early morning. The benefits? energizing, clarifying for the mind. Creates an intense feeling of joy and happiness.

There are hundreds of techniques like this one which require little effort and give you max benefits. The idea is not to force your life into a discipline. It is rather to take a natural impulsion and desire in you, a natural need and give you the tool which matches best your situation. Sometimes, you already have the tools you need, you simply might need some motivation or clarification on how to really own a given technique.

Again, spiritual training is not a rigid discipline or system. It is an open space where you decide where you want to go. I am simply here to help you with that.

What is this lineage?

My work is dedicated to the Hierarchy. The communion of masters which brings their knowledge on this planet. All of my actions are synchronized and aligned with their work. I feel synergy and immense respect for what they do. My own development has been helped by many of these masters for the last 20 years. I feel lots of reverence, respect, love and honor for receiving what I received.

Now, my task is simply to transmit further what I learned. more

What is spiritual coaching? - ARTICLE

What is spiritual development coaching?

It is about connecting with your spiritual source

Develop a healthy life style

Strengthen your universal identity

Strengthen your life power

See the life force connection in everything in and around you.

Relate to others in a harmonious way.

Strengthen your values

Tune into your long term evolution and the long term evolution of the planet and humankind

Establish your cosmic or universal identity

Discover new refreshing perspectives on how to see your life

Connect with sources of love, power and energy on this planet

Develop a sense of synchronicity

Etc.

What is the main difference between spiritual development coaching and simply belonging to a spiritual group?

No need to join or adhere to a system of beliefs

You are and stay the centre of your life at all times

The sense of duality is not there

There is no elitism.

You decide where you want to go.

The core of spiritual development coaching is you, your desires, your needs.

There is a clear coaching agreement with your coach.

The ethical base and the professional boundaries are extremely clear.

You are and stay free at all times.

No lecturing or doctrinal style.

You decide about any spiritual training. You choose the techniques, approaches even within the existing belief systems you already know.

Are there any techniques or practices involved in spiritual coaching?

There are only if you want to.

You decide what you need

As your coach, I can propose techniques and approaches

If you have already techniques or practices, I will simple help you go further with them

If you want to learn or develop further new skills, we enter into one aspect of spiritual coaching which is spiritual skills training. It can involve yoga practices, meditation techniques, energy techniques, etc. Again, you stay in charge and I simply help you develop the skills you want to develop. I am not telling you what to do. You decide for yourself.

What is the link between spiritual, business or relationship coaching?

Coaching is the vehicle. Relationships, business or spiritual development are the coaching areas or the targets. They are the destination or the context in which you want coaching to happen.

These directions are not exclusive. You always decide on what area you would like to focus. For instance if business is your priority at a given moment, that's what we will focus on.

Coaching is a way to gain more satisfaction from life. It helps you reach your goals and perform better. You can receive coaching on any of your life areas.

Why would you hire a spiritual development coach?

Developing spiritual skills works in a similar way as developing other type of skills. Getting targeted support, feedback, ideas, expert advice, etc. can greatly speed up your spiritual development

The moment you realize that no matter how hard you try, your life feels incomplete, you start looking for something deeper. That's when I can help you with your quest.

You might have practiced some spiritual development techniques and you feel stacked or you need help. Again, I am happy to help you reach what you are looking for.

Spiritual development coaching stays centered on you.

How to meditate - ARTICLE

Meditation is very instinctual and natural.

The goal is not to force your mind into something artificial.

It is rather to connect with a natural way of being and expressing this one step further.

If you want to find a greater sense of peace and inner stillness, start with a simple breathing technique.

Follow your natural breathing cycle and observe the air flowing in and out of your body.

Relax.

No tension.

Natural and easy.

It is a pleasurable practice.

You have two ways of approaching such practices:

· The first one is to explore all this by yourself.

· The second one is to consciously connect with a source of inspiration, teacher, master, teaching, tradition, etc.

There are dozens of systems of meditation.

Usually meditation is a set of practices within a much vaster mind set, spirit or energy reality.

Again, you can explore all that as "autodidact" and recreate your own spiritual system or you can simply connect with an existing stream and learn from it.

The second option offers you of course more support and guidance.

If you prefer the first option and go "solo", you will certainly get results and in a way reinvent these techniques in your own unique way.

The long term goal is to expand your awareness and connect with deeper layers of your being and your consciousness.

Once you master this breathing technique, you can ad focus on one of the chakras. Usually the third eye (centre of your forehead) or the heart chakra (middle of the chest) are the easiest and most powerful gateways.

Simply focus on one of these spots.

Once you master the breathing technique and one pointedness on one of your chakras, you can ad a mantra (sacred formula).

The simplest mantra is "Om".

You simply sound it in your third eye or heart.

The "Om" sound expresses the unity of all things.

When you sound this word internally, you invoke your unity with the cosmos.

It is like focusing on your universal identity and inviting this reality in your being.

When you start, the best is to have short meditations (5 minutes).

Don't focus on the discipline aspect of it, rather the flow and pleasure you get from it.

Concentrate for a few minutes and then, let go.

You will notice that if you practice this regularly (once or twice a day over a period of a month), you will connect with a profound sense of peace and harmony.

You will naturally energize your mind and bring clarity to your thoughts and emotions.

Don't try to convince or influence anyone else in these early stages.

Focus on developing the practice for yourself until your master it.

The desire to mediate is like a gentle stream of energy.

It guides you and inspires you in a very subtle way.

If you rationalize too much or engage in philosophical debates about it (especially in these early stages) you might miss the point and loose your focus.

Stay centered on the practice itself. This is the best way to get results and to instruct your mind.

What to expect?

Most of the times, it's nothing spectacular.

You simply notice a slight change in the "color" of your emotions and clarity in your mind.

You feel brighter inside and slightly happier.

These are the "visible" effects of your meditation.

However, deep inside, a more profound transformation is taking place, always.

Even if you are unaware of it, as soon as you start meditating, your mind vibration shifts.

Transformation starts taking place instantly.

What is this transformation?

It is the alignment of your being with a much vaster reality.

You can call it universal consciousness.

It is like synchronizing your life with the vaster stream of manifestation.

This is why it feels like a new connection.

You break through layers of isolation and simply discover a new absolute sense of unity.

It changes your life forever!

I can sit for one hour straight but my mind is too busy - ARTICLE

What happens in your mind is a reflection of what happens in your life.

If your life is very active, stressful and hectic, naturally this reflects in your mind and creates a flow of ongoing thoughts.

Thoughts are okay, but when they come in the form of endless worries, doubts and fears, you want of course to learn to still the mind and bring some peace in the inner levels.

There are two conflicting directions here:

· The outer reality forces you to be active.

It stimulates you to respond to stress and actually feed it even more by setting up goals, targets and competing in the business world for instance.

These external pressures are very real. For instance, you are trained to compete from a very young age.

That's okay!

It is one of the key driving forces in society and pushes you to perform better in life.

So basically, these external pressures are positive forces because they stimulate you to look deeper in yourself and develop better skills.

This can happen in your professional field, in your love life, or any other aspect of your existence.

So, this is clear: your life is usually very active.

· The second direction is about wanting to find peace.

This is not a “worldly” target.

It has to do with your spiritual development.

When you focus on meditating, you set up yourself on a path of inner discovery and self realization. Sometimes, these goals enter in conflict with external or worldly priorities.

Now, your mind is like a screen: the thoughts and emotions which are projected on it are simply a reflection of what goes on in your life.

If you want to quiet these thoughts (these reflections), you want to quiet their source: your life!

Thoughts and emotions are waves on the surface of your mind. They are a simple reflection.

Trying to mask them is like trying to mask the reflection of a mountain on the water.

The best way to quiet your thoughts is to quiet your life and all its activity.

You want to tackle the source, not the reflection.

Meditation gives you clarity on what is truly happening in your life.

If your mind is very active, this means that many aspects of your existence require your attention.

Thoughts and emotions are like elemental forms which reflect this outer activity in your life.

So, what to do?

Suppose that you want to meditate and your mind is very active. You simply can't concentrate.

What can you do about it?

Can you still bring peace in your mind while there is all this activity going on with your physical existence?

In most cases, if you want to succeed with mediation, you need to combine external action with spiritual practice.

Focusing on your inner reality only is not enough.

When your mind is very active, it means that your life is calling for attention.

What kind of attention? Harmonization.

If you face this challenge, it is better to shorten your meditations and find out exactly what you thoughts are telling you.

Where are these thoughts coming from?

What are they saying?

When you listen, you give attention and this naturally quiets the mind.

If the story these thoughts are telling you are none of your concern, then you have to teach your mind something new.

Suppose for instance that you worry a lot about something which is out of your hands.

These thoughts are an invasion of your inner space.

To get rid of unwanted thoughts, you need extra power.

You realize that being able to quiet unwanted thoughts has to do with mind mastery.

The long term goal is to get to work in total partnership with your mind. Your mind is your greatest ally. It is your tool. And you are its master

When you meditate, you use your taming power.

If your mind stays too active, it is either that your taming force is not strong enough or that your technique or approach is not adapted.

Of course there is a third possibility that we discussed in the beginning of this chapter which says that an aspect of your life truly needs attention.

Thoughts and emotions are simply the way your spirit tells you to attend to an aspect of your life.

It tells you that something is being created and that your attention or energy is needed.

The best strategy to deal with this spiritual challenge is not to ignore the thoughts and emotions which come to your mind; it is to listen to them and identify where they come from.

Simply trying to suppress them without listening usually creates an inner conflict which is the situation in which many seekers get trapped.

If this is the situation you are in, you usually try to force yourself into a rigid discipline and don't seem to progress.

If this is your case, try listening instead. You'll be amazed of what happens when you do.

This would definitely be the first step.

A simple yoga nidra technique - ARTICLE

Make sure the room you are in is well ventilated.

Before you go to rest for the night, practice some deep breathings.

Do this for a few minutes.

Find peace and relaxation in this practice.

If you have anything around or next to your bed which reminds you of work, administration or anything stressful, remove it from the room if possible.

The goal is simple: find real peace and relaxation in your dreaming and sleeping time.

You can light up a candle and turn off all other lights.

Simply lay on your back and follow the natural rhythm of your breathing taking a few deep breaths.

Bring your attention to your third eye area (middle of the forehead).

After that, focus on the word “Nidra” or “Yoga Nidra”.

You will invoke or call into your mind a deep state of relaxation.

You can actually enter such deep state of relaxation by staying awake and not actually falling asleep.

You enter into a state of alert awareness.

Nidra is a stream of consciousness.

It is a spiritual state and one of the best way to invoke that state is to use the Sanskrit term itself: “Nidra” or “Yoga Nidra”

What is the goal of meditation? - ARTICLE

The goal of meditation is to synchronize our mind with a vaster source of intelligence. A meditation can be tuned towards peace. It can be tuned towards silence. It can as well be tuned towards rajasic activity (excited mind state).

Different activities? Yes, because there are various types of energy sources. Meditation is a telepathic connection.

Meditation means focusing internally to create this synchronicity, so that a consciousness "bridge" can be created between our mind and a larger field of consciousness.

What is that larger field? There are various fields of consciousness which can play the role of "source". Here is an example: If a spiritual tradition has been using a specific mantra (sound formula) for many centuries, this vibration is embedded in the collective human consciousness. Focusing on that mantra will create a telepathic link with that source and open a field of consciousness to the meditator. This specific field of consciousness is being maintained in the physical level by all the people practicing this very specific mantra.

A mantra is not the only way to connect. Take a Zen tradition for instance. The repetition of movements in the tea ceremony will create an alignment with that specific tradition. In that case, it is not a mantra which is being used, it is a series of gestures as well as "mind focus" which are being applied.

Most human activities have a similar type of goal: invoking beauty and refinement when playing music for instance. Beauty and refinement are projected as an emotional perception in our mind. The music reflects inside ourselves in waves of subtle feelings. A "trained" ear will have the ability to create a vaster diversity of impressions with a classical melody.

This reverberation of the sound in our mind can be seen as a meditation process as well. In a way, the larger definition of meditation encompasses any manifestation of life force in our being. In that case, we can use the terms of "increased awareness" rather than concentration. For many the sound itself is a meditation trigger which brings our mind to a state of trance, inner peace or profound harmony.

So what is the difference between a meditative activity and let's say, a worldly activity? In essence, there is no difference. All activities are a manifestation of life force, always. This life force can be called our spirit. Anything is meditation when looked at with this understanding in mind.

Some activities though might have a greater "physical" or "practical" focus and it is not always easy to realize the element of magic in a practical action. Magic is always there though! The "miracle" of life is always present, in every one of our movements.

We can say that as we live, we bring our spirit into manifestation. Life is always magical!

The realms of the invisible are vast. We are far from having discovered their true extension at this stage. We know there are some "intelligent entities" like for instance the "collective unconscious" defined by psychoanalysts. Where is that field of consciousness located? How does it function? How does it evolve? All these questions have never been clearly answered from a modern perspective. Still this concept was already discovered many years ago.

If reason is not guiding us here, intuition is. Intuition is a magical tool, which gives us glimpses of imperceptible knowledge. Waking up in the middle of the night with a sudden "funny" idea is certainly not an input from our reasoning mind. The birth process of that idea gives us precisely a clue of what happens when meditating.

Meditation is a way of tuning our mind. The reality or consciousness we are tuning into is simply a vaster field, a vaster reality than our own. What is this vaster field of consciousness? Is it human? superhuman? personified? Is it a simple static invisible network or energies? Is it existing only on this planet? only in human beings? Can animals connect with it? Many questions can be asked.

I might have vague feelings, impressions about these questions. I feel though that these answers are only my own beliefs, related with my own experiences. I feel it is up to anyone to find their own answers by experience. I don't think that right now we can describe all that with one single truth. I believe no rational words can at this stage describe or explain the vastness of what we are touching here.

Any belief or knowledge of the invisible is at this stage based on experience. This experience is different for everyone. I believe that it is better to leave all the doors open rather than trying to rationalize our understanding of who we are deep inside.

I don't think that what we call "Truth" can be put in simple words. Words are the way our mental abilities interpret reality. Beyond words, we simply find something vaster which we could call "the vision of Reality". Beyond the filter of human perception is something even vaster which can't be limited to any human definition.

This is the context in which we use words. It is good to remember that words possess only a limited power when describing reality. We talk about words but in fact it is the same for any form of human perception. The human mind is a filter which usually only perceives glimpses or parts of reality at a time.

The way to grow in that is by experimenting, trying, exploring. Infinite sources of knowledge, wisdom and introspective approaches are already available in many traditions around the world. These traditions offer valuable glimpses of knowledge as well as techniques and approaches. Analyzing with the "head" is usually not enough. Reason and fact analysis are by far not the best tools in this exploration. Our intuitive senses are much more powerful here. They can be greatly refined by practice, expanded awareness, inner gaze, etc.

What happens during meditation? - ARTICLE

The concentration process of meditation builds up energy.

Concentrating on the third eye for instance creates a link with an invisible network of energies which by mimetic behavior create a flow of energy between the spirit and the mind.

Meditation can as well be seen as a form of training. A training for the mind in which the life force is being strengthened.

Where does that energy input come from?

Here are a few concepts:

Energy comes from Shamballa or another invisible vast energy body.

Energy is being taken from other parts of the peronal mind and brought to the area of concentration.

Energy is being generated by an inner dynamic process. The body, mind and spirit becomes a dynamo.

Energy is being generated by connecting with an invisible network of energies.

Let's take the example of body training. When we use a muscle, there is a natural concentration of life force being brought to that muscle. If the exercise is repeated, the muscle will grow, expand, be cleared, etc.

Meditation is a concentration of energy being given to the etheric body. This is where the key is.

If it was just a thought, it would be kept within the mind circulation and stay a mental or emotional process.

But meditation is something more than that. This concentration of energy brings life in an area of the person where life is not usually coming.

The usual daily circulation of mental processes simply creates a frame in the mental and emotional body which does not naturally bring fresh energy to the chakras.

Why do we focus on the etheric body? Because this is a space or a part of our being which incredibly expands as we rise to new spiritual dimensions.

The etheric body is usually poorly energized in a human being.

When meditation occurs (specially in the form of concentration...), a certain area of the etheric body will be energized. If the focus is on the third eye for instance, energy will be concentrated in that area.

The whole point is to train the abilities of that specific chakra.

So, what is a chakra?

Chakras are etheric organs. They are our sensatory organs on the etheric level. They are as well connected with both our physical body and our mind body.

Most of what impacts on the chakras will create and emotional or mental reaction. Even though the chakra itself is an etheric organ, most of what happens in a chakra reflects on emotions and thoughts.

The situation is the same as with physical senses. A beautiful smell creates joy, pleasure. These are emotions. The vision of an architecture will generate series of thoughts, ideas about the way space is used, the material's qualities, or the esthetic balance.

Why isn't all that common knowledge?

The etheric body is simply not the main focus of human evolution right now. It could be in the future though. Take for instance the awakening of medical science and anatomy. Knowledge of anatomy became common only recently (a few hundred years ago!!). Before that, all our organs were functioning. We simply did not know much about them. The awakening of a new stream of curiosity, linked with technological advances allowed this incredible breakthrough.

At this stage, many people already heard terms like "aura" or "etheric substance", but somehow, the tools to systematically explore what is behind these terms are not yet fully available. In that field, what is known is based on beliefs or inner experience rather than scientific proof.

When focusing on our etheric reality, we actually focus on the next step of human evolution. It does not mean that the rest of our physical reality disappears, it means that we learn to be active in both realities at the same time.

Take a child for instance. The first thoughts in his mind can feel like an incredible opening. As children, we learn to structure our thinking abilities. We learn logical patterns. We develop our emotional potentials. The awakening of our etheric potential could follow a similar path of evolution.

It's only when we secure our activity on the physical level that we are ready to evolve into this new etheric dimension. We are talking here about the human race, not individuals.

An individual can focus its development on spiritual awareness, expansion of consciousness. We can do that before "completing" our full mental or emotional potential.

As a human race, things are different. The physical base of society needs to be fully secured before doors start opening more widely on the etheric level.

The physical based activity of human life can be seen as a training ground. During that time, ways to function together, respect each other space, develop healthy boundaries and respect of all human life form are being developed in human consciousness. The collective consciousness is being built in a way which allows humankind to flourish healthily and in accordance with evolution lines.

With the opening of the etheric awareness comes greater responsibility. Imagine again a baby crawling on the carpet. In the moment they learn how to stand up, a new set of boundaries have to be set up so that the "Chinese vase" on the shelf does not become a thousand pieces "Chinese puzzle".

This education process is what humankind is going through. We are learning by experience about the good or bad consequences of our behaviors. We perfect ourselves, step by step, aiming for some form of stability and harmony.

The vision of what is beyond these physical limits can be quite challenging. If we were confronted all at once with the reality of what is behind the scene, it could simply be too much. So, we get a few glimpses at a time. The window of our consciousness periodically perceives some greater vision.

New mental models are being built which express the perception of this inner reality.

Meditation is this narrow window into these inner worlds. It allows us to integrate the vision of what we can be. At this stage, we can see meditation as a training tool, as a strengthening of our inner potentials.

How to gain mastery of your own destiny and evolution - ARTICLE

The number one mistake you can do with spiritual development is to delegate your power.

You are born with the right to choose for yourself and decide where you want to go.

As soon as you connect with spiritual realities, your life can be taken over.

It does not need to be that way.

Your destiny is unique.

Your path of evolution is the sum of all your potentials.

In a life time, you will manifest a given stream of action and development.

If you want to gain mastery of your own destiny and evolution, simply dare to express your power and stay in control of your life.

This is the number one step.

As long as you stay in charge, you are fine.

The next step is to connect with your line of evolution.

You can do this by focusing on a third eye meditation technique.

This will connect you with your own unique direction.

Opening your third eye means connecting with your spirit.

The moment you use this meditation technique it opens a world of realizations straight away.

It is a connecting step.

It is a unifying step.

You basically open the full network of your life’s potentials.

It is like standing in front of your life’s map.

You still have choices to make but you become totally aware of the different directions and evolution avenues you have access to.

Have a greater sense of control over what happens in your life - ARTICLE

You can evolve spiritually and feel like you are in control of your life.

You don’t need to renounce anything or surrender your will to any authority.

Your path of evolution is a path of mastery and you are the one in charge.

Your controlling power is an instinct.

The tendency is often to try to control other people’s lives, events or happening which are out of reach.

As soon as you project control out, you loose actually ground and connection with what you truly own: yourself.

The right you are given from birth is the power to control what is yours: you mind, actions, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, attitudes, personal space, belongings and time frame.

This is what you own.

Now, the moment you project power and control on someone else’s life, you literally abuse power.

The only thing you have the right to control is your life. No one else’s.

If you want to feel a sense of power and control over your life, it is very simple: respect other’s autonomy and they will respect yours.

You have a reserve of energy. If you project it out in all directions, you simply miss your target.

The goal is to use your controlling power wisely and not project it in directions which go against someone else’s right of self determination.

The moment you know how to use power wisely, you are given more of it automatically.

You need however to respect basic rules of human evolution.

These rules are maintained by vase networks and hierarchies of spiritual energies.

It is this network of intelligent energies which sustains society and civilizations.

The goal is to use your power wisely and work with the forces of evolution rather than against them.

Human evolution is like a river.

You can learn to go with the flow and own your personal life while working in perfect harmony and synergy with the forces around you.

This skill is the key for increasing your level of power, awareness and consciousness.

The moment you prove that you can use your power wisely in a constructive way, more of it is naturally given to you.

How to develop a sense of profound bliss, vision and awareness - ARTICLE

Bliss is unity.

Awareness is the opening of your inner vision.

One of the first targets of your spiritual development is to dissolve any sense of division.

You reconnect with an infinite source of energy, the vast sea of spiritual awareness.

Bliss is simply the way your emotions respond when the doors open up.

Bliss is something your perceive on your mind and emotional level.

It is related with a an inner opening, the removal of inner veils.

Inner vision happens in a similar way.

Awareness is simply the permanent connection between your being and the invisible reality.

You perceive the underlying dynamics behinds action and manifestation.

You are aware because you are connected.

Any action, practice which connects you with your spiritual or universal identity creates bliss to a certain extent.

Conscious action is an art practiced within the Kriya Yoga stream.

You perform key actions like breathing techniques, meditation, postures and more and through your action invoke a profound connection with the sea of universal life force.

It is like going back to the source.

When your consciousness is trapped in material goals, money and material satisfaction is what you attract.

These are targets which are as valuable as any “so called” spiritual targets.

The fact that you can see with your eyes the results of your actions does not mean that it has no value.

The art of making money or creating anything on this planet is still an invocation of life force into your existence.

It is a creative act no matter what.

What shifts is the reward or the result of your action.

If you invest your energy and time into invoking your spirit and creating a bridge of consciousness with your inner being, then this is what you will get when you succeed.

Spiritual targets are simply different than material targets.

Both are valuable and both have a reason to exist on this planet.

What matters is what you want and what you feel excited and thrilled about.

If you being is attuned with some form of inner quest, than you have the right to pursue these goals because it is what you want.

You are free.

If you prefer heading for material wealth, it is your choice and it is not less valuable.

You can be creative within that process and understand the subtle dynamics of life by doing so.

There is no hierarchy and separation between what is material and what is not.

At the end, everything is spiritual.

No matter what you touch, do or think, you are always manifesting a stream of life force. This stream of life force expresses your connection with your spirit.

You are connected all the time.

Sometimes, you decide to consciously open your eyes to it and sometimes, you simply focus on something else.

It is fine.

Any action can be performed with awareness.

It is not just about meditation or spiritual practices.

You cook, work, play music, date or train with awareness.

There is no place for elitist divisions any more.

Every target has its own value and you are free to choose for what you feel suits you best.
Tap into your sense of infinite happiness

The moment you feel connected, you are happy.

Happiness is a mind state.

It expresses the fact that inner conflicts and frictions have been removed.

To be happy, you need to be a frictionless being.

You want to be a problem free zone or at least know how to solve challenges.

Tension is the result from clashes of energy.

You feel unhappy when you feel you have no control or are disconnected.

The moment life force flows through your being you radiate happiness.

How does life force flow through your being?

Here are different ways of stimulating the flow of life force in you:

· Connecting with your own spirit through meditation or spiritual practices

· Anything which is creative

· Relating to others. As soon as two people are with each other, life force starts flowing between them. This exchange of life force generates happiness. It creates a sense of connection.

· Challenging yourself. For instance if you train your body or do some sports, you invoke the flow of energy in your body. This makes you feel alive.

· Etc.

You realize that any action, thought, emotion or feeling can generate a sense of happiness.

The moment you manifest, you create.

Unhappiness comes from tensions and conflicting energies. It is the result of a blockage of energy in any aspect of your system.

How to manifest spiritual synergy - ARTICLE

Spiritual synergy is your ability to go with the flow of the forces of nature rather than against them.

You can do that with people, with nature, with society, with what you create or with your actions.

What you think can be embedded with a profound sense of synchronicity.

It simply feels right.

This is the target for our modern age.

Synchronicity is the ability to live together in harmony in a creative way.

Conflict or challenges won’t disappear of course but the way you solve them takes care of all forces and parties involved.

No one needs to loose!

This is the real power you and I can tap into right now.

Anyone who practices synergy in any context manifests a profound sense of respect and harmony.

It doesn’t have to be dull or boring. Actually, it is the total opposite.

The moment you focus on the larger picture and realize what happens when you truly join forces, you see a whole new world of potentials opening up.

Take an organization for instance. The amount of energy which is usually spent in dealing with internal political conflicts can be huge.

Imagine what happens the moment the organizational becomes frictionless and all the participants learn how to truly collaborate with each other.

This is not an utopist dream.

It is happening right now in many organizations around the world.

The idea of synergy already permeates the business world.

All that is needed now is for it to fully touch all areas of society.

The way synergy is used is still embryonic in a way.

The full potential of this stream can unfold in your life as you learn to master the synergy skills.

What are these skills?

It is first your ability to focus on win-win in any situation in life.

The second step is to show total respect for other people’s opinions and ideas.

The third step is to dare to step into someone else’s shoes and see the world from their perspective.

These are only some ideas and there is so much more of course.

The basic idea behind synergy is that every time someone loses, it’s the totality of humankind who loses.

You don’t have to take responsibility for someone else’s actions but you can make sure that your actions are in harmony with the larger scheme and development of things on this planet.

This is the basic idea behind spiritual synergy

Spiritual targets - ARTICLE

Coaching works with targets. This is where we start in a coaching session. By first defining what is the goal, the target:

Here are some of the key targets which are widely used in the spiritual field. When you start developing your spiritual skills and expand your awareness. You'll often connect with one of these "target stream", sometimes even without being aware of it.

Happiness

These are the common side effects of spiritual practices. An overwhelming feeling of joy. Expanded feeling of love for other and the whole of creation. Happiness, etc.

Magic powers

At this stage, this field is slightly "taboo" in the spiritual development field. Masters like Sai Baba are said to be able to manifest objects, manipulate energies at will. We enter here in the field of miracles.

Most spiritual masters and spiritual teachings do not focus on magical powers because they see them as side effects of spiritual development rather than valuable targets.

As this subject is extremely controversial, we won't really go into it here.

Material Goals

Again, a very controversial area. Is it ethically correct to search material wealth on the spiritual development path? The modern "prosperity" trend goes with recognizing the "spiritual value" of money. Prosperity is a lot about learning to see and deal with money as an energy. It is as well the art of removing blockages and negative patterns sometimes associated with material wealth.

Knowledge

Next time your child asks you about the meaning of life, you could have no problem giving a clear and direct answers.

Developing spiritual knowledge has a lot to do with intuition. In the spiritual field, you might hear terms like knowledge by touch. more

Practices

This is where if often starts. You establish some form of discipline or practice in your life and from there, your life starts changing, you develop awareness, connect to inner peace, increase your life power, etc. Some form of discipline is often be the first step of spiritual training.

Connectedness

Another valuable desire: feel connected with life, the planet and beyond.

Action - Life force

Have you ever felt like truly connecting with someone? You meet this perfect stranger and within a couple of minutes, you feel like something special happens. This kind of magic can happen quite often. It is inspiring. It is a frictionless flow of energy. It can happen in any field or aspect of our existence.

In these magic moments life feels complete. It is often associated with a feeling of pleasure or joy. There is clarity. There is awareness.

In coaching terms, we often say: "be superconductive to life". This superconductivity means removing mind obstacles, fears and simply going for life.

Organization

These targets are organization targets. Spiritual movements and religions have a natural need to expand, the same way a business does.

In a way, a spiritual organization has its own agenda, which can be very different than the individual's goals.

There are quite a few ethical considerations to assess when going that way. This is a very controversial area, so we won't go into it here.

Here are a couple of examples of organizations which seem to have handled successfully the "marketing" of their ideas: www.sedona.com , http://www.thework.org/

The area of organizations is on the edge of business coaching. The goal in this case is to create a frictionless, effective organization.

World action

World action comes from a sense of responsibility. The creation of the United Nations for instance is said to have been inspired from very "high spheres" of human consciousness. The UN's ultimate goal is world peace.

Similar actions involve for instance the coming together of most spiritual leaders.

Another type of actions are the "modern social marketing" trends which state that to be marketed a product must respect a few key ethical laws and be aligned for instance with the well being of those who created it. No child labor. No animal experimentation of cosmetic products. Dolphin friendly tinned tuna fish.

There is more of course.

Coaching targets

At this stage, I feel that spiritual coaching truly works for happiness, life force and connectedness targets. The overall goal is simply to harmonize the mind and stimulate the flow of life power in all aspects of your life. This in itself will naturally increase your level of connectedness and overall life satisfaction.

Within the coaching space, I believe we will naturally touch on practices, awareness and knowledge, modern concepts of prosperity and as well ideas related with world action which is linked with the idea of spiritual intelligence.

At this stage, the area of magic powers has a big question mark on it. (ask me why)

The area of organizations is not centered on the individual. It's really on the very limits of what we are treating here.

How to increase your spiritual intelligence - ARTICLE

Connection! Connection is what makes the difference.

Connected with what? Connected with the lines of inspiration which tune into the long term evolution of the planet.

You can be isolated in a small sphere and this will limit your consciousness. On the other hand you can be open to dimensions which go far beyond your personality and this will connect you with your own universal identity.

If your daily concerns evolve around your own individual survival, individual comfort, individual thoughts, this is where your consciousness will be: on the level of your personality.

If now you shift your awareness and you focus on something which goes beyond your usual personal limits, then you connect with your spiritual intelligence.

Where to start?

The net is a good place to start. Many teachings, sacred scriptures will give you hints about your own cosmic evolution.

What stops you?

Fear of opening up to new realities. Could be pride. Could be as well the fear of loosing control.

These fears are real. They can be real warning signs you should listen to or simply be irrational blockages which stop your from moving forward. Take steps carefully and listen with discrimination.

Follow your instinct and intuition and get in touch with people and teachings which can truly take you one step further.

Somewhere along the line, you need to accept the fact that your present limits are not your real limits. New landscapes of knowledge and awareness can be discovered.

As you get in touch with new sources of inspiration in your life, it is important to integrate all that in your daily life. Don't loose touch with reality. Keep your personal foundation and stay master of your life and own evolution.

You are the most important person in your life. Developing your spiritual intelligence means giving yourself the tools and skills to be active and productive in a creative way.

It is both an inner and outer exploration of your consciousness.

A simple technique

Calligraphies are a powerful ways of invoking new realities.

Sanat Kumara could be seen as the archetype of cosmic evolution. Invoking this concept, name or idea will naturally wake up that reality in you. It's a very simple technique and all you have to do is write this name in its sanskrit calligraphic form

Sanat Kumara

To tell you the truth, the way this intelligence or reality is usually portrayed is somehow childish.

The intelligence, force or power behind that name goes far beyond the picture of a blond handsome prince traveling across space.

If you want to connect with your own "cosmic identity", this is a good place to start. Simply write down this calligraphy. It is an invocation of your universal awareness which is very similar to the idea of spiritual intelligence.

How does it work? words are full of power. The term "happiness" for instance wakes up feelings and impressions associated with happiness itself. More about sanskrit calligraphy

How do you use it? You can "recall" that energy or idea whenever you need to. Writing it down will strengthen your personal foundation and empower the universal identity in you. It's okay to write it down several times a day. Don't discard the writings. Keep them in your personal environment as this will reflect on your mind as well.

It simply gives you a core of energy which strengthens your mind foundation.

Now, my task is not to convince you. This is given to you because you might want it and need it. If you feel, it's not for you, no problem, simply walk away and look for something else that will be a better match for you.

What is spiritual intelligence? - ARTICLE

Spiritual intelligence is acting, behaving, thinking, reacting, creating with the awareness of where our action fits within the larger scheme of things. Our actions are not separated elements. They are part of a sea of action which, when put together creates the stream of evolution on this planet. Being spiritually intelligent means acting with that awareness in mind.
