Loops Change Everything

Loops Change Everything

Most people prompt AI once and hope for the best.

That’s not a strategy. That’s a wish.

A loop is different. A loop doesn’t stop until the job is actually done.

You’ve Been Doing It Wrong

You ask. AI answers. You check. You fix. You ask again.

That cycle is exhausting — and it’s all on you.

A loop flips it. The AI checks its own work. The AI fixes it. The AI keeps going until it passes.

You just set the bar. The loop does the rest.

A Loop Has Two Parts

Most people only use one. That’s why they struggle.

  • The Task — what you want built or written
  • The Goal — the exact standard it must hit before stopping

Without the goal, there is no loop. There’s just a prompt.

The Goal Must Be Measurable

This is where most people get it wrong.

Vague goal: “Make it good.”

Real goal: “Every paragraph is 3 lines or under. Every headline is a bold statement. Zero filler sentences.”

Claude can grade itself on that. It cannot grade itself on “good.”

Loops Work Because AI Can Self-Check

You don’t need to babysit the output.

  • Set the rules — be specific, be binary
  • Add the checklist — yes or no for each rule
  • Get the result — only the version that passed

The AI iterates. You receive the final version. Done.

The People Winning With AI Use Loops

They’re not smarter. They’re not more technical.

They just stopped accepting the first answer.

A loop is a standard. It tells AI: don’t stop until this is real.

Set the standard. Run the loop. Get the result.

Here Is What a Loop Actually Looks Like

No theory. Just the real thing.

Without a loop:
“Write me an article about confidence.”

AI writes something. Maybe it’s good. Maybe it’s not. You find out after.

With a loop:
“Write me an article about confidence. Don’t stop until: every headline is a bold statement, every paragraph is under 3 lines, and zero filler sentences exist. Check yourself before sending.”

Same topic. Completely different result.

Here Is What the Self-Check Looks Like

This is the part most people never add.

At the end of your prompt, you write this:

“Before sending, check every section against this list:
– Every headline is a statement, not a question ✓ or ✗
– Every paragraph is 3 lines or under ✓ or ✗
– Zero filler sentences ✓ or ✗
If anything fails, fix it first. Send only the passing version.”

That’s it. That’s the whole upgrade.

One Loop Saves You Ten Back-and-Forths

Count the time you spend fixing AI output manually.

Every correction you make by hand is a loop you didn’t build upfront.

One well-built loop eliminates most of that work entirely.

Not Every Task Needs a Loop

Some things are simple. Just ask.

  • One-shot — “What does loop mean?” Just answer it.
  • Loop it — “Write my article in this exact format with these exact rules.” Build the checklist.

The rule is simple: if it has rules, loop it. If it doesn’t, just ask.

Your Loop Gets Better Every Time You Use It

The first loop you write won’t be perfect. That’s fine.

Every time output misses the mark, you found a missing criterion. Add it.

Your loop is a living document. It gets sharper with every article you write.
